Washington-area school groups visit the Newseum for free. The program is co-sponsored by WTOP 103.5 and The Washington Post.
To qualify, schools must have a group reservation and be located in one of the jurisdictions listed below.
College and university professor-led field trips located in the areas below also receive free admission. To qualify, colleges must make group reservations in advance.

Schools outside the sponsorship area qualify for a special school field trip rate.

*One chaperone for every 10 students will receive free admission. Additional chaperones over the required 1:10 ratio will be charged $15.75 the school field trip adult rate.
Other Youth Groups
Summer camps, scout groups and other youth programs with 10 or more people qualify for discounted group rates.
One chaperone for every 10 youth will receive free admission. Additional chaperones over the required 1:10 ratio will be charged $16.95 each, plus tax.
Group Rates for visits in 2012
- Youth (18 and under): $11.95 plus tax
- Chaperones: Free*
- Adults and seniors (19 and older): $16.95 plus tax
*One chaperone for every 10 youth will receive free admission. Additional chaperones over the required 1:10 chaperone ratio will be charged $16.95 each.
All group reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance to qualify for the discounted rate and will require pre-payment. Accepted forms of payment include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, corporate check or money order. The Newseum will NOT accept purchase orders as a form of payment. All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds for no-shows or unused tickets.
