Newseum consultants Eric C. Caren and Stephen A. Goldman have collected rare and historic newspapers for more than 30 years.

Caren is proprietor of the Caren Archive Inc., which specializes in a wide range of printed and manuscript Americana. He also is CEO of Retrographics Publishing.

Goldman is the founder of Stephen A. Goldman Historical Newspapers, which buys and sells original and rare newspapers. He and Caren are partners in OldNews Inc., a company that produces memorabilia featuring historic newspaper images.

In 2001, the Newseum acquired Caren and Goldman's collection of more than 30,000 historic newspapers.
