Record Crowd Celebrates Newseum's First
WASHINGTON — Nearly 6,000 people visited the Newseum April 11 to help celebrate the First Amendment and the museum’s first anniversary on historic Pennsylvania Avenue.
Thomas Jefferson was there. The popular News Hound was, too. A steady stream of visitors participated in an all-day celebration that included music, gifts and several hands-on activities. Since its grand opening in 2008, the 250,000-square-foot interactive museum of news has welcomed more than 700,000 visitors.Related Links:
