100 'Very Best' Restaurants in D.C.: The Source is No. 3

WASHINGTON — The Source by Wolfgang Puck was voted No. 3 among the 100 best restaurants in Washington, D.C., according to a survey by Washingtonian magazine.

In its annual search for the best restaurants in the Washington, D.C., area, the magazine looked for "memorable cooking that communicates a sense of place or personal expression," and service that gives guests "the feeling of being pampered."

"Puck … knows what works and what doesn't, and he also knows the key is to achieve a synthesis, to produce a kind of exotic neither/nor," the magazine said.

The Source by Wolfgang Puck is located at the Newseum at 575 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Entrance is on 6th Street. The dining room is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner Monday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday until 11 p.m. The bar is open from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
