Directions
Via Metro
- Archives/Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter Station
- • Take the Green or Yellow Line to the Archives/Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter Metro Station.
- • Exit the station, turn left and walk toward Pennsylvania Avenue.
- • Turn left onto Pennsylvania Avenue, walk toward the Capitol and cross Seventh Street.
- • Walk one block to the Newseum, located at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street.
- Judiciary Square Station
- • Take the Red Line to the Judiciary Square Metro Station.
- • Use the 4th Street exit.
- • Walk south on 4th Street and turn right onto D Street.
- • Walk one block west on D Street and veer left onto Indiana Avenue.
- • Continue west and turn left onto 6th Street.
- • Walk two blocks to the Newseum, located at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street.
- • Once you get out of the station, take a left onto F Street.
- • Walk two blocks.
- • Take a left onto 6th Street and walk three long blocks until you get to Pennsylvania Ave.
- • The Newseum is located at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street.
On weekends -- and when the 4th Street exit is closed – use the F Street exit:
- Smithsonian Station
- • Take the Blue or Orange Line to the Smithsonian Metro Station.
- • Exit the station and turn left.
- • Walk across the Mall toward the Natural History Museum, cross Madison Drive and continue on 12th Street for approximately one block.
- • Turn right onto Constitution Avenue and walk approximately four blocks.
- • Turn left onto Sixth Street.
- • Walk one block to the Newseum, located at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street.
- Gallery Place-Chinatown Station
- • Take the Green, Red or Yellow Line to the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station.
- • Use the Seventh and F Street exit.
- • Walk down Seventh Street approximately three blocks.
- • Turn left onto Pennsylvania Avenue.
- • Walk one block to the Newseum, located at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street.
From points south of Washington, D.C.
- • Take I-95 North and merge onto I-395 North via exit 170A-B toward WASHINGTON.
- • From I-395 merge onto US-1 North toward DOWNTOWN.
- • Turn right on Constitution Avenue, N.W.
- • From Constitution, turn left onto Sixth Street.
- • Continue to the Newseum at the corner of Sixth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
From points north of Washington, D.C.
- • Take I-95 South and merge onto MD-295 South via exit 52 toward BWI AIRPORT.
- • From MD-295 South merge onto New York Avenue, N.E. (US-50 West) toward WASHINGTON.
- • Take I-395 South toward TUNNEL.
- • Take the tunnel exit and make a slight left turn onto Third Street, N.W.
- • From Third Street turn right onto Constitution Avenue, N.W.
- • From Constitution, turn right onto Pennsylvania Avenue.
- • Continue to the Newseum at the corner of Sixth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
- • Take the North exit ramp.
- • Merge onto the George Washington Memorial Parkway (GW PKWY N).
- • Take the I-395 North exit toward WASHINGTON.
- • Merge onto US-1 North toward DOWNTOWN.
- • Turn right onto Constitution Avenue, N.W.
- • From Constitution, turn left onto Sixth Street.
- • Continue to the Newseum at the corner of Sixth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
From Washington Dulles International Airport
- • Follow airport direction signs to go east on the Dulles Airport Access Road toward WASHINGTON.
- • Dulles Airport Access becomes VA-267 East.
- • From VA-267 East, take I-66 East.
- • Take the Constitution Ave./US-50 East exit.
- • Stay straight to US-50 East.
- • Stay straight to merge onto Constitution Avenue, N.W.
- • Turn left onto Sixth Street.
- • Continue to the Newseum at the corner of Sixth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
From Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport
- • Take I-195 West.
- • Merge onto MD-295 South via exit 2B toward WASHINGTON.
- • From MD-295 South, merge onto New York Avenue, N.E. (US-50 West) toward WASHINGTON.
- • Take I-395 South toward TUNNEL.
