Inside Media: Jake Tapper

November 10, 2012
Location: Knight TV Studio

Guest: Jake Tapper

Jake Tapper, senior White House correspondent for ABC News, discusses his new book "The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor." The book provides an eye-opening account of the devastating sacrifices made during one of America's deadliest battles in Afghanistan.

The book chronicles the 2009 attack by nearly 400 Taliban insurgents on 53 U.S. troops stationed in an American outpost in Afghanistan. Though the Americans ultimately prevailed, their casualties made it one of the war's deadliest battles for U.S. forces.

Tapper joined ABC News in 2004 and became senior White House correspondent in 2008. Prior to joining ABC, he was the national correspondent for Salon.com and a columnist with Talk magazine. He also has hosted programs for CNN and VH1.
