Will Ferrell, star of the highly anticipated movie "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues," will appear at the Newseum for an invitation-only event on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013. Newseum partners, sponsors, members of the Friends of the First Amendment Society and other VIPs will be invited to an exclusive program where Ferrell will discuss his new movie. A reception will follow.

Washington Post movie critic Ann Hornaday will moderate the program.

Guests will have an opportunity to tour "Anchorman: The Exhibit," which opens Nov. 14, 2013, only at the Newseum. The exhibit includes costumes, props and footage from the 2004 comedy hit "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," which starred Ferrell as a 1970s local TV news anchor. Ron's signature burgundy suit, his jazz flute and "IM #1" license plate are among more than 60 artifacts on display. Visitors can have their photos taken behind a replica of Ron's Channel 4 News desk and record their own Be a TV Reporter news segment after being introduced by Ron himself.

This event is currently sold out. However, tickets are still available to new members of the Friends of the First Amendment Society who make a contribution of $1,000 or more to the Newseum.
